NOTES: As always you are welcome to come hang out a knit, crochet or spin by yourself or with a group of friends, but we are doing away with the old class system. More information here…
All classes are subject to a paid registration minimum of 2 student, 2 days prior to the class start date. If this requirement is not met, the class may be canceled. Students who pay for a class that is canceled will be contacted and a refund will be issued according to the store’s refund policy, or the student can be enrolled in another class.
Skills Needed: Come as you are! We can take you where you want to go!

Pick a day that works for you and come learn to Knit & Purl, Cast-on & Bind-off. Make a practical project while doing so, for instant gratification.
Time to change things up and combine those stitches we learned in 101 to make new fabrics and things that need shaping and to fit. You will learn ribbing, decreasing, & working on 2 circulars.
Making mistakes is a part of knitting. Fixing them is another. We will teach you how to read your work, characterize the mistake, and make corrections.
Wewill take you through different techniques in weaving in ends invisibly, seaming & grafting methods for different fabrics and construction types, and methods for blocking your finished work.
Come learn something new. Knitting socks will teach you many skills you will use in other aspects of knitting. It’s not sufficient to just learn to knit a pair of socks by a pattern when the pattern’s finished dimensions won’t fit your foot.
Got leftover sock yarn and want to make another pair, but not sure if you’ll have enough? Toe-Up is the way to go!
Learn the Basic Brioche/Fisherman’s Rib, a squishy reversible rib fabric, great for tons of projects.
Got 2nd sock syndrome? That is, finish one sock and never make the second one, or they never come out exactly the same size. You can make them at the same time. Mitts & sweater sleeves too!
We are going to make the Geodesic Cowl by Emily O’Brien. Worked like a cross between Entrelac and individual motifs, you will learn to pick up stitches, modified BL cast on and manage DPNs.
Whether it’s your first or 21st, we will guide you through making a sweater for you or someone else.
Are you in love with brioche but are still scared to go it alone? Want to make a bigger project with brioche stitches? This class is flexible, scheduled for 6 weeks total, but sign up for however many you need.
Do you have lots of leftover sock yarn? Or do you want to make a light-weight afghan but don’t want to loose interest on such a large project? Judie’s Sockghan is a great project. It uses up leftovers, or you can use new; Each mitered square is different when you use different or striping yarns; and, The whole thing is garter stitch, so no purling!
Join us and we’ll show you how to start spinning fiber into your own yarn! Bring your own drop spindle and fiber or buy a kit when you get here!
Come learn a cool new skill with us. Get the basics of crochet and make something useful and pretty at the same time.
Want to make socks but think they’re only for knitter’s. Not so! We will walk you through the construction of crocheted socks.
Loom knitting is a great alternative for kids and adults who don’t have the hand dexterity to knit with needles. You can still create a wide variety of projects on looms if you just get the know how. We will show you how to make the basic stitches, and encourage you to get your first project under your belt.
We’ll build on your skills and teach you how to make a fabric that doesn’t curl for making scarves on long looms.
Ravelry is a great resource for knitters and crocheters. Some of us, however, don’t feel we have time to sit and figure out all it has to offer us.

$10 per hour per student, minimum 2 students for classes already established; 3 students for your own idea for instruction. 4.5 hour class total minimum (1.5 hour classes over 3 weeks)
